Types of Industrial Seals 

 

Gasket - A flexible sheet of material that plugs the gap between two static, usually planar surfaces. To produce a seal, gaskets rely on compression and their ability to conform to irregularities in the two surfaces. To provide this compression, bolted connections are frequently used.
