Linear Motions

The LM Guide (Linear Motion Guide) is our main product, incorporating a part with a linear rolling motion into practical usage for the first time in the world. It realizes the development of high-precision, high-rigidity, energy-saving, high-speed machines with long service lives.

The Ball Screw is a high-efficiency feed screw with the ball making a rolling motion between the screw axis and the nut. Compared with a conventional sliding screw, this product has drive torque of one-third or less, making it most suitable for saving drive motor power.

The Linear Bush is a linear guide used in combination with a LM shaft that has a cylindrical shaft. This product makes linear movements with a minimum of frictional resistance to provide highly accurate and supple movement.

The Cam Follower is a compact bearing with a high-rigidity shaft and a built-in needle bearing. Most suitable as a guide roller for cam mechanisms and linear motion of automated machines and dedicated machines.

The Cross Roller Ring is a roller bearing with high rotation accuracy capable of bearing loads in every direction. Because it has orthogonally arranged cylindrical rollers, it can bear loads in every direction.

The Roller Follower is a compact bearing with a high-rigidity shaft and a built-in needle bearing. Most suitable as a guide roller for cam mechanisms and linear motion.

The Rod End is a spherical slide bearing incorporating a spherical inner ring with precision and hardness equivalent to that of steel ball bearings. It provides very smooth rotating and oscillating motion without play.

An assortment of lubrication associated products is available to maintain sufficient lubrication of machines.

The Link Ball is a spherical slide bearing with a ball stud that provides smooth operation with a minimal clearance. With superb abrasion resistance and large oscillating angle, this product is suitable for the link motion mechanism of various types of automated machines.

The Ball Spline is a rolling guide spline bearing. This is an innovative product with a ball rolling on a groove connected to the shaft, realizing allowable loads greater than with linear bushing and enabling torque transmission while making linear movements.

The Slide Pack is an inexpensive linear guide configured with the press-formed slider and roll- formed rails. It provides lightweight, compact and supple linear motion

The LM Roller is a compact linear guide with high load performance and a mallet type roller able to make infinite circular motions. This product is optimally applicable to machines required for high positioning accuracy, repeatability and rigidity.

The Cross Roller Table is a compact, high-precision, high-rigidity, limited linear guide unit with built-in cross roller guide. Easily installed with bolts, this product provides a high accuracy linear guiding mechanism.

The Linear Ball Slide is a lightweight, compact, limited stroke linear guide unit that operates with very low sliding resistance. It excels in high-speed responsive performance due to its very small frictional factor and low inertia.

INA offers the optimal electric drive combination for all series of driven linear units to meet individual customer requirements. Finely graduated servo motors and precision planetary gearboxes are available for all linear units to cater to a wide variety of applications.

The cages are made from steel or plastic. Metal cages are suitable for more demanding conditions, such as high acceleration, high temperatures and where the ends of the cage are exposed at some point in operation. Plastic cages are particularly cost effective for basic operating conditions.

Thanks to their accuracy, the guideways in conjunction with the linear recirculating roller bearings produce high-precision linear guidance systems. They are made from through-hardened rolling bearing steel, have precision-ground raceways and feature a one-piece construction up to their maximum length. Longer guideways comprise coordinated sections. The guideways are available in quality classes Q2, Q6 and Q10.

Linear ball bearing and guideway assemblies represent the most extensive and complex group within the range of monorail guidance systems. They are used where linear guidance systems with high load-carrying capacity and rigidity must move heavy loads with high running and positional accuracy as well as low friction. The guidance systems are preloaded and are suitable for long, unlimited stroke lengths.

All components required for operation are integrated in the linear modules and are modular by design. Linear modules are guided by linear ball bearing and guideway assemblies of series KUVE or KUSE or are guided on track roller guidance systems of series LF. The drive function is implemented by a ball screw drive, toothed belt or direct drive (linear motor).

Linear guidance systems with linear recirculating ball bearing units comprise the linear ball bearings, carriages and guideways. They facilitate large distances between support points, can be adjusted for clearance and have standard quality class G3.

RUE linear recirculating roller bearing and guideway assemblies are, due to the cylindrical rollers, the INA monorail guidance systems with the highest load-carrying capacity and rigidity. They comprise at least one carriage with a full complement roller system, a guideway, integral elastic wipers on the end faces of the carriage, sealing strips on the upper side and underside of the carriage and closing plugs to close off the fixing holes in the guideway.

Linear tables are used where larger masses are moved in one or more axes. Due to the large distances between support points, these linear tables are also capable of supporting high torques. The guidance systems used are linear ball bearings or linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies. Linear tables are available without a drive mechanism, with a ball screw drive, with a trapezoidal lead screw drive or a direct drive.

Miniature carriage units with cylindrical roller flat cages are corrosion-resistant, ready-to-fit cage guidance systems for limited stroke lengths. They have a high load-carrying capacity, high rigidity and high accuracy while requiring very little space. Due to their compact design, they can often be used to replace guidance systems that require significantly more space. The units are produced in numerous carriage and guideway lengths, giving cost-effective designs.

Double-row and four-row miniature linear ball bearing and guideway assemblies are full-complement, preloaded linear locating bearings for unlimited stroke lengths. A unit comprises at least one carriage with a locating face and a guideway. The units can support forces from all directions apart from the direction of motion and moments about all axes. The double-row units have two rows of rolling elements in four-point contact with the raceways. KUME..-C has four rows of rolling elements in two-point contact with the raceways that transmit forces at a contact angle of 45°.

With the proven standard multi-axis positioning systems, many applications can be realized without additional design work. This allows you to complete projects rapidly using components that are already matched to each other. You have considerably less design and planning work and within a very short time, you receive a proposal from us for a positioning system with your required axis travel distances.

Shaft guidance systems are longitudinal guides with ball bearings or plain bearings for various areas of use and application. Linear ball bearings are available as a light range, compact range and machined range. The mating tracks may be in the form of solid shafts, hollow shafts or supported shaft and support rail units.

Track roller guidance systems are linear guidance systems that can be configured on a modular basis for an extremely wide variety of applications. Due to their lightweight construction, they are highly suitable for use in handling systems. They are characterized in particular by quiet running, high traverse speeds, long travel distances and the modular concept.

IKO designs and manufactures a variety of compact ball spline guides to achieve precise linear motion across a diverse range of applications, from medical equipment to semiconductor manufacturing. External cylinders enable smooth linear motion along a spline shaft.

C-Lube Linear Way MV guides offer the highest downward load capacity of all the ball type guides.

Crossed Roller Way Units (CRWU) and Anti-Creep Crossed Roller Way Units (CRWUG) provide a complete solution for limited stroke lengths and feature a highly rigid table and bed to minimize elastic deformation.

LRWX…B roller-type linear motion guides offer four rows of cylindrical rollers for well-balanced load handling. Features include: Evenly withstands loads in all directions. Cylindrical rollers are enclosed in a rugged case. The slide unit has a narrow block-type shape. Slide units are equipped with end seals and under seals for dust protection. Easy-to-mount bellows provide exceptional dust protection.

Linear Roller Way Super X LRX guides are designed for heavy-duty operation. Four rows of cylindrical rollers are enclosed in a highly rigid casing. Minimal elastic deformation ensures stable and reliable operation under heavy or fluctuating loads, as well as vibration and shock loads.

IKO's Linear Way E rolling guides feature an ultra-compact slide unit that allows continuous linear motion along the track rail. Two rows of steel balls make four-point contact with raceways to ensure high stability and accuracy, even under fluctuating and complex loads.
